(Opelousas, LA)— The city of Opelousas is proud to host the 17th Annual Safe Halloween for Kids at Le Vieux Village located at 828 E. Landry Street on Thursday, October 31, 2019. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 7:00 pm.
Each year the City of Opelousas Tourism Department hosts a fun filled evening of Halloween activities for the community. Safe Halloween for Kids at Le Vieux Village provides a safe environment for the children of Opelousas and surrounding areas to enjoy trick or treating as they stop at the houses in the village in search of treats. Local businesses and organizations are set up at the houses and around the village where they provide treats for the little ones.
Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor and the City Council are dedicated to providing family-oriented events to residents by offering citizens a fun way to spend time in their own community. The Safe Halloween for Kids event is made possible with the support of local businesses and organizations that adopt and decorate the houses in Le Vieux Village and hand out treats to the little ghosts and goblins.
